What are the advantages of your LED spot lights, compared with halogen bulbs?
Efficiency
Halogen spot lights generate light by causing a filament to become white hot. As a result, a great deal of energy is wasted as heat. Halogen lights are also "full spectrum" light sources, which means that they produce heat and light radiation across the full spectrum - including Ultra Violet (UV) and Infra Red (IR) light, which fall outside the visible spectrum. This invisible light is also wasted energy. In contrast, LED lights operate at very low temperatures and only produce light within a very narrow spectrum, so they are far more efficient than halogen bulbs. At the moment, LED spot lights use 85% less energy than equivalent halogen bulbs.
Durability
Halogen lights also use a fragile filament, which becomes more brittle as it is subjected to extreme heat cycles. This means that bulbs frequently fail due to shocks and vibration. LED bulbs are solid state, making them incredibly robust and durable. A typical halogen bulb will last 1000 hours. Our LED spot lights last up to 50 times as long.
